Dance Culture is the online home for the Worldwide dancefloor and an evolutionary look on the way we can use tech within communities, moving away from the classic, addictive capitalist examples.

Dance Culture originally started as a personal project to connect friends made on dance floors across the World. Within 3 years they have over 8k individually valued and engaged community members dedicated to all that encompasses dance culture as a whole.

The Covid Crisis led the team to create their very own broadcasting platform as a service to the community where thousands across the World united during lockdown. Spanning all dance genres their number one aim is to encourage the discovery of new music and new connections through the dancefloor.

Care4Calais is a volunteer run charity delivering essential aid and support to refugees living in Northern France, Belgium and the UK. Care4Calais believe in a fair and tolerant British society and advocate for a welcoming and inclusive attitude towards refugees.

Operating year round from Calais, their focus is to provide warm clothing, bedding, food and medical assistance to people in desperate need. They also provide social support and interaction, including language lessons and sports and music workshops.

In the UK they provide newly arrived refugees with direct support in the form of clothes, shoes, mobile phones and other essentials, and help them to access services such as legal aid, English lessons or public transport. Starting out in the UK can be a bewildering process; a friendly face can make all the difference.

The Worldwide Tribe’s mission is to highlight the humanity behind world issues, inspire global community and leave a legacy of positive, social change.

WWT use creative storytelling via social media to bring a personal, human perspective to world issues, while investing in grassroots projects that make a direct difference to the lives of those in need. They do this through films, talks in schools and universities, and most recently through their podcast – with each episode sharing a unique story of an individual affected by migration.

WWT began their work in 2015 in the Calais Jungle, and have gone on to work in camps in Greece, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Bangladesh and more.

Their belief that the world is getting smaller, led them to want to connect people all over the globe in one community of international citizens; The Worldwide Tribe.
